As we reflect on our journey over the past three decades, we are filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment at the Southern Educational and Rural Development Society. Founded in 1986 with a pioneering zeal and a philanthropic commitment, our institution has grown from strength to strength, driven by an unrelenting passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on society.
Our first milestone was the establishment of Tagore Matriculation Higher Secondary School in 1986, which marked the beginning of our journey towards providing quality education to students. This was followed by the launch of Tagore Higher Secondary School with a state board syllabus in 2000, catering to the needs of students who sought a more comprehensive educational experience.
In 2006, we took another significant step forward by establishing Tagore College of Education, which has been instrumental in shaping the careers of aspiring teachers. Today, we are proud to have over 5000 students and more than 300 staff members across our institutions, making us one of the largest educational societies in the region.
Our latest achievement is the establishment of Tagore Institute of Engineering and Technology, which aims to produce competent and motivated engineers and scientists who will make a meaningful contribution to society. Our institution is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and critical thinking, while also inculcating human values and ethics that are essential for building a better world.
