Course / M.E. Computer Science and Engineering

Introduction

Course Name Course Code Duration
M.E. Computer Science and Engineering CS 2 Years

Computer Science and engineering is a discipline that integrates several fields of electrical engineering and computer science required to develop computer hardware and software. Computer Science and engineers usually have training in electronic engineering (or electrical engineering), software design, and hardware-software integration instead of only software engineering or electronic engineering. Computer engineers are involved in many hardware and software aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers, and supercomputers, to circuit design.

Usual tasks involving computer engineers include writing software and firmware for embedded microcontrollers, designing VLSI chips, designing analog sensors, designing mixed signal circuit boards, and designing operating systems. Computer engineers are also suited for robotics research, which relies heavily on using digital systems to control and monitor electrical systems like motors, communications, and sensors.

Vision:

To shape/mould graduates into globally competitive computer scientists and engineers, we provide holistic education integrating academic, technical, and professional skills. Our focus is on innovative research and product development to address the dynamic technological demands of society.

Mission:

  • To develop students into proficient users of basic engineering and technology by providing a well-balanced curriculum.
  • To address societal challenges through pioneering and cutting-edge research initiatives.
  • To foster collaboration between industries and academia, enhancing teaching, learning, and consulting efforts to meet the evolving technological needs of society.
  • To equip students with leadership qualities and a commitment to lifelong learning, preparing them for dynamic roles in the ever-changing field of computer science and engineering.

PSOs

The students will be able to:

  • Exhibit design and programming skills to build and automate business solutions using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Develop a strong theoretical foundation leading to excellence and excitement towards research, providing elegant solutions to complex problems.
  • Work effectively with various engineering fields as a team to design, build, and develop system applications.
